Bridging the gap in swallowing care, one community at a time.
Learn More About DysphagiaTo accelerate the adoption of innovative dysphagia technologies, raise public and clinical awareness, and support community-driven initiatives that reduce barriers to care.
Dysphagia Technology & Assistive Resources is confronting a serious– often invisible– health crisis: swallowing disorders that can lead to malnutrition, hospitalization, or even death when left undetected or unsupported. The clinical name of this disorder is dysphagia (dys·pha·gia).
We highlight leading tools, technologies, and educational resources, working to connect people with the knowledge and support they need. Our efforts are especially focused on communities that have limited access to care, including rural populations, individuals navigating complex medical conditions, and veterans.
Education is central to our mission, not only for those directly affected but also for healthcare providers. Many clinicians receive limited training in swallowing disorders, and we aim to help close that gap.
We’re just getting started — no big funding, no shiny office. Just purpose, grit, and people like you.
Whether you’re a caregiver, clinician, someone living with dysphagia, or are eager to be a part of something meaningful—you belong here.
We’re excited to be organizing our first community event in Temple, TX, focused on dysphagia awareness, the link between dysphagia and oral care, and community connection.
More details coming soon–stay tuned!
